Your study-visa documents checklist

The core set almost every application needs — get these ready early.

A clean, complete document set is half the battle in any study-abroad application. Requirements vary by country and course, but this is the core set almost everyone needs — get these ready early.

  • Valid passport (and old passports, if any)
  • Academic transcripts, certificates and mark sheets
  • English test scorecard (IELTS / PTE / TOEFL)
  • Statement of Purpose and, where needed, letters of recommendation
  • Proof of funds — bank statements, loan sanction, GIC
  • Resume/CV (especially for postgraduate or work-experience applicants)
  • Work experience letters, if applicable
  • Passport-size photographs to the required specification
Keep two versions of everything
A clearly-scanned digital copy and the original. Name your files sensibly, and never submit blurry scans — they slow everything down and raise questions.
